I I HAVE SEVEN HP 6735B MAINBOARD ON MY BENCH FOR REPAIRS AND ONE COMPAQ 615. FIVE OUT OF THE SEVEN ARE DOING THE SAME THING. THE CAP LOCK LIGHT BLINKS 5 TIMES AND ACCORDING TO HP ERROR CODE IT MEANS GENERAL MAINBOARD ERROR. I AM COMPILING A NOTE ON HOW I SOLVED IT. IT WILL BE AVAILABLE VERY SOON.THE OTHER TWO WERE SHUTTING OF THE CHARGER.
are you done with the note? (i have the same problem like you with your 5 boards).

ReplyDeleteYes mine the same here in UK, it was working fine turned it off and seemed to be powering up and showing 5 blinks now its not doing anything looks like its died a death... hate HP laptops so much had a few and they have all died on me. Is this a vga problem or has the motheboard just died. Help looked at was to fix vga problem and will most likely have a go its knackered anyway. Anyone any idea how to solve this problem.
