hp dv7 no light no power and doesnt charge battery

the customer brought it to my desk that he just finishing charging the laptop an d after that switch it on it refuse to on. i dessamble the laptop and check the mosfet in this one is 6676, the mosfet immediately after the power connector and discover it was burnt. changed it with ao4377 from another board and it charge battery but cannot power. then i check other components around it, all okay except voltage regulator that is shorted. now system work fine

    hello brother, you have done a great help for we, the beginners. Please what is mosfet? How do you identify a component called voltage regulator? How do you test to know that the voltage regulator is shorted?

    voltage regulator should be tested on circuit. send your e-mail address and i will send you more info
