pc installation in a nutshell

PC INSTALLATION HARDWARE INSTALLATION SOFTWARE INSTALLATION SOFTWARE INSTALLATION (OS INSTALLATION) OPERATING SYSTEM (OS) is a master control program that controls all the working condition of you personal computer, i.e. it is a software programmed in the way you computer will function to. OPERATING SYSTEM SOFTWARES ARE: Windows 98, 97, 2000, XP, Me, etc. For windows 98 Installation: It is divided into three; 1. Windows 98 full version (98f) 2. Windows 98 ultimate (98u) 3. Windows 98 second edition (98se) HOW TO FORMAT A PC WITH A WINDOWS 98 OS: 1.Set boot sequence by entering system setup and set CDROM first boot device. To enter bios(system) setup: While the system is about to boot, the system will ask you to press one of the following to enter setup;(F1, F2, F9, F10, F12, Esc, Del etc) Then you can set the first boot device to CDROM and save & exit. then the system will restart by its self 1. choose computer with cd rom support by pressing enter key 2. type fdisk and press enter key 3. press y and press enter key 4. press y and press enter key 5.Follow the order of (4312) press 4, enter Press 3, enter Press 1, enter Option is not always needed because it is automatic sometimes. 6. Restart the system using Ctrl+Alt+Del 7. Selwct to boot froom Cd support again. 8. 9. Select yes enter 10. Volume label can be any name or empty. Press enter to continue. 11. Type E: to change the directory. 12. Type dir and press enter. 13. Type cd win98se and press enter. 14. Type setup ie 15. Press enter to continue. 16. Select exit by pressing X. 17. Cancel Start up disk. 18. After the first step, enter setup to change the boot sequence to hard disk.
